Ingredients

  • 1 carton (8.25 oz.) Kitchen Basics® Original Chicken Bone Broth
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk, such as almond, oat, or canned light coconut
  • 1 slice (1/4-inch-thick) fresh ginger, smashed
  • 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground turmeric
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch freshly cracked black pepper

Savory bone broth is infused with superfoods turmeric and ginger and quickly simmers together into a creamy, sippable tonic that’s a great start to the morning instead of coffee or tea or a restorative afternoon treat. The single size carton is perfectly portioned to prepare a single latte and contains 10 grams of protein. Smash the ginger slice with the handle of a chef's knife to help release its zesty flavor.

Prep & Cook Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and discard ginger. Can be enjoyed as is, or froth for added enjoyment. 
  2. Pour into a blender and blend on medium-high speed about 1 minute until very frothy. (Alternatively, tilt the saucepan slightly so the liquid pools into one area, then blend directly in the saucepan 1 to 1 1/2 minutes with an immersion blender or handheld frother until very frothy.) Pour into a glass or mug.

TIP: The thicker and creamier the milk, such as barista or rich and creamy blends, the thicker the foam.
